Billing and cancellation

Pro renews monthly or yearly and continues automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. A subscription taken out through the App Store is managed and cancelled in your Apple ID settings, not inside the app.

What the free plan actually does

It is not a trial that closes after two weeks. It stays usable: up to 50 cards in the portfolio, 10 scanner analyses and one pro scan a month, and one set binder. For a collection you can still count, that is enough.

What Pro adds are the things that cost money to run continuously or only matter at scale: price alerts, the automatic drop calendar, portfolio analytics, and unlimited cards and binders.

Why it costs anything

Every scan is an AI call, and every night a catalogue of more than 42,000 variants is re-priced. Both cost money per user. The subscription is the only source of revenue — there is no advertising, there are no affiliate links to marketplaces, and no commission from grading companies. Why it should stay that way.

Is CardBroker free?
Yes. The free plan stays free — no trial window, no card details: up to 50 cards in your portfolio, 10 scanner analyses and one pro scan a month, and one set binder. Pro costs €7.99 a month or €59.99 a year and lifts the limits.
Where do the prices come from?
From real European market data on Cardmarket, plus sold eBay listings for graded cards. The whole catalogue is re-priced every night, and what you see is the market value — the average of completed sales — not the cheapest open listing. Every card also keeps a price history, so you can see which way it is moving. How we work out a price.
How accurately does the scanner identify a card?
You photograph the card, and an AI reads the name, set, card number and condition, then matches it to the right catalogue entry. When a card is ambiguous — the same artwork printed in more than one set — the app asks instead of guessing. Holo and reverse-holo variants are recognised separately, because they are worth different amounts. More about the scanner.
Does it work with German and Japanese cards?
Yes. The catalogue covers over 35,701 entries across 315 sets, with names in German, English, Japanese, French, Italian and Spanish. The language a card was printed in is tracked as its own attribute — a German and an English copy of the same card are not worth the same.
How do I know whether grading is worth it?
The grading cockpit works it out before you post anything: what the card would be worth at each grade from PSA, BGS or CGC, set against the grading and shipping costs that provider actually charges. You see the expected return before the card leaves your hands, and you can track a submission until it comes back into your portfolio. Open the grading calculator.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. CardBroker is currently iPhone and iPad only. There is a waiting list for Android — email cardvault.info@web.de and we will get in touch at launch.
